Philosophy and Therapeutic Approaches

Cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) is a widely-used and evidence-based form of psychotherapy that focuses on identifying and changing negative thought patterns and behaviors. It is based on the concept that our thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are interconnected, and that changing negative thoughts and maladaptive behaviors can lead to improvements in emotional well-being and functioning. In therapy we will focus primarily on the following elements of CBT: psychoeducation, cognitive restructuring/reframing, coping skills training, relaxation training, and exposure techniques to support change.

Background

Welcome! I’m Tiffany and I am a fully licensed LCMSW in the state of Michigan, a speaker, trainer and wife and mom of two amazing kids. I started in the field of social work because I wanted to create an environment where people could be vulnerable and feel safe without judgment. For the past two decades, I have worked on improving the health and well-being of those who so often sacrifice their self-care as a result of work demands and get caught up with everyone else’s expectations that they end up burning out at alarming rates. I specialize in supporting those who are struggling to show up as the best version of themselves.
